Quick Start Guide
Create Your Account
Start by creating your InvoiceMe account. Click the "Sign Up" button on the homepage and provide your basic information:
- Full name
- Valid email address
- Secure password (minimum 8 characters)

Verify Your Email
After signing up, check your email inbox for a verification link. Click the link to activate your account. This step is important for security and to ensure you receive important notifications.
Can't find the email?
Complete Your Business Profile
Once verified, complete your business profile with:
- Business Name: Your company or personal business name
- Business Address: Your physical or mailing address
- Contact Information: Phone number and website (optional)
- Business Logo: Upload your logo for branded invoices
- Tax Information: Tax ID, VAT number, or other relevant tax details

Creating a New Bill
Navigate to Bills Section
From your dashboard, click on "Bills" in the main navigation menu. You'll see a list of all your bills and a "New Bill" button.
Select or Add Contractor
Choose an existing contractor from the dropdown, or create a new one. Contractors are the vendors, suppliers, or service providers who send you bills.

Recurring Bills
Set up recurring bills for expenses that occur regularly, such as rent, utilities, subscriptions, or monthly services.
Setting Up Recurring Bills
- Create a new bill as usual
- Click on "Make Recurring" option
- Select the recurrence frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Custom)
- Set the start date and optionally an end date
- Save the recurring bill template

Payment Slips
When you mark a bill as paid, you can generate a professional payment slip as proof of payment. This is useful for record-keeping and accounting purposes.
Mark Bill as Paid
Open the bill you want to mark as paid and click the "Mark as Paid" button. Enter the payment date and any additional notes.
Generate Payment Slip
Once marked as paid, you'll see an option to "Generate Payment Slip". Click it to create a professional PDF payment receipt.
Download or Email
You can download the payment slip as a PDF or email it directly to the contractor for their records.

- Host: smtp.office365.com
- Port: 587
- Security: STARTTLS
- Username: Your full Outlook email
- Password: Your account password or App Password
Configuring SMTP Settings
Navigate to SMTP Settings
Go to Dashboard → Settings → SMTP Settings or directly navigate to/dashboard/settings/smtp
Choose SMTP Provider
Select your email provider from the dropdown (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Zoho, SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES, or Custom). Selecting a provider will auto-fill the server settings.
Enter Server Configuration
Fill in the server details:
- SMTP Host: Your email provider's SMTP server (e.g., smtp.gmail.com)
- SMTP Port: Usually 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)
- Encryption: TLS, SSL, STARTTLS, or None
Enter Authentication Details
Provide your email credentials:
- SMTP Username: Your full email address
- SMTP Password: Your email password or App Password
- From Email: The email address that will appear as sender
- From Name: The name that will appear as sender (e.g., "Your Company Name")

Test Your Connection
Before saving, use the "Send Test Email" button to verify your settings work correctly. Enter a test email address and click send. Check your inbox to confirm receipt.

- • Use your own email address for testing
- • Check spam folder if email doesn't arrive
- • If test fails, verify all credentials are correct
- • Some providers require enabling "Less Secure Apps"
Save Settings
