SMTP Settings

New Feature

Configure custom SMTP for professional email delivery

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) settings allow you to send invoices and emails from your own email domain, giving you a more professional appearance and better email deliverability. This feature is essential for businesses that want to maintain their brand identity in all communications.

Why Use Custom SMTP?

  • Professional Appearance: Emails sent from your own domain (e.g., invoices@yourcompany.com)
  • Better Deliverability: Higher email delivery rates compared to default SMTP
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain your brand identity in all communications
  • No Limits: Send unlimited emails (default SMTP has trial limits)
  • Control: Full control over email sending and tracking

Getting Your SMTP Credentials

Gmail

  • Host: smtp.gmail.com
  • Port: 587
  • Security: TLS
  • Username: Your full Gmail address
  • Password: App Password (not regular password)

Testing Tips

Default SMTP vs Custom SMTP

Default SMTP (Trial)

  • • Ensure your email provider allows SMTP access
  • • Try port 465 with SSL if port 587 doesn't work

Authentication Failed

  • • Double-check your username and password
  • • For Gmail, use App Password instead of regular password
  • • Ensure 2FA is enabled if required by provider
  • • Verify your account isn't locked or suspended
